Question:ok so I really like to act and I would love to try & do it for more than just my family but my mom said no! Which i don't think is far because i have read so many books done so much research and i know what to expect! But still she and my dad say no! they wont even let me do the school play! which i ended up doing but i could only get a small part so that she wouldn't find out! If you have any ideas on how i can get started with out my parents i would really appreciate that or any ideas how to persuade them to let me!

Ugh i totally feel for you!

I actually started out my acting career all by myself. No support at all!
I found this acting camp looking for a assistant counselor, and i signed up for the job without even telling them. then i was like "dad drive me here. i'm meeting friends" so i got my experience all on my own. Then when i found this camp my parents were like. ehh. why is this so sudden. and i begged and said i REALLY wanted to do it.

It turns out an agent was watching the camp, called me and asked to meet with me. They really wanted me, and my parents couldn't say no. Now they drive me to my auditions and everything.

You've just got to show them you mean business and you'll do anything!Tell them how much it means to you!

Good Luck hun!

Wow. I love to act too [:
My parents have always let me do it though.
Try to sit down and tell them that it is seriously what you want to do with your life. ya know? tell them you'll stick to it. :D

Perhaps they are worried about the investment of time it will take. Perhaps you can persuade them by keeping your grades high and showing you can handle the extra activity. Or you could drop one of your other after-school clubs in exchange for being in the school play.

1 tell them this is your chance to find your talent
2 you enjoy this and they might enjoy watching you act
3 you never know when oppertunity comes and it may pay off

This is your thesis statement ( 3 Reasons why you want to persuade your parents why they should let you do this)

well it's not like you can go to acting classes with out them knowing because it's not free. i also want to be an actress but i've never belived in myself enough to do it until now. i would just let them know that no matter what they say you are going to act. i'm sure the only reason why your parents are acting this way because they don't want you to end up like britney spears or lindsey lohan

i support you to try it ,
