violet, go to the SAG agency website to find a good legitimate agency in your area. From my experiences in acting classes, the only people to go to for agents are associated with SAG/Union. Once you find a list of agencies in your area or in like LA or something, send out lots of headshots and resumes to them. But don't keep bothering them daily. Wait a few weeks or a month if you don't get an answer send out more headsots and resumes again. Good luck! Once I finally get my headshots and a substantial looking resume I'm going to see how far this can take me..

Go to school. Get your education. "Making it Big" in the biz is just as hard for pros. Work only lasts so long and it's on the hunt for the next job. Having your education and continuing to build your resume will give you a better chance at success for long term work. It's a whole different game when your older and an education will give you the foundation for your future. Rely only on yourself, not many in this industry will "help". Remember, everyone is your competition. Be smart, be safe, be persistant and stay in school. Develop a good tough exterior and know that with every successful job, there will be at least 10 no thank you's. Good luck and chin up. It'll be a challenge, but with determination and patience, you will get your opportunity.

Don't be picky for roles! Audition for anything. If you know you're good, then you'll be able to do anything. Good luck!
