Not just necessary but compulsary.

no... ^^

if you into acting, then act like you are!

Not at all. Some are, some aren't. Same as all walks of life. We've all got something to contribute and should get along.

nope
jst be confident

No,but i think you have better chances in succeeding.

No but I think it helps

of course not

Happiness helps.
If you mean "gay" as in those sad people ,no.

hell no! it's just a stupid stereotype. ive got lots of heterosexual friends who are very successful and talented in theatre.

Haaa

haaaa!
Actually that sounds kind of scary like a Panto-baddie laugh!
Maybe I should be questioning MY sexuality

No. I am in the theater and I am straight.

No, I shouldn't think so,

Of course not. Don't let your jerk friends influence you. Be your own person. If you want to work in theatre, then do it.
.

YES -- Ask a stupid question ...

No

No....but it helps

That's really homophobic! I'm not an actress, but I do have many friends - boys and girls - who are. It's like in every other type of business. There are some who are gay and others who are not. Do you think that all those famous actors are gay????

Wow. I really hope that you're joking. Otherwise, I weep for humanity.

this has to be the most retarded question I have ever read

No but at times it does feel like it. I think the reason is that the theatre world is accepting of all types of people so someone's sexual preferences makes no difference. You have to be a bit odd to work in theatre!

lots of theatre people are strange and off the wall, but by no means are they all gay... i wouldnt care to even estimate how many or what percentage of theatre folks are gay. it makes no difference. your question (to my mind) suggests some degree of (latent?) homophobia and is really pretty damn dumb.
