EXT. is short for Exterior. That abbreviation lets the reader know the action is taking place outside.

EXT. is actually short 4 extension on screenplay samples... Its definitely not exterior...lol...Best of luck

EXT certainly stands with Exterior in Film Scripting terminology. Similarly INT stands for Interior.

EXT. means exteriror, which means that scene is bein shot outside. Another you may find is INT. which is short for interior which means the scene is being shot inside :D
