Question:i have a screen test for a film set in the 1930s, but i have "train track" braces on my bottom teeth...do you think this will lessen my chances? They aren't very visible and a lot of people don't know that I have them.. thanks

Since they are there, forget about them and just do your best. Wow! a real screen test for a real film? How did you get it. Please email me and tell me as I help aspiring actors and think it will be useful to know. Doc

I am sorry but yes, they will probably matter in screen.
You should have gotten "invisible" braces if you wanted to do screen.
My sister has them and you have NO idea that they are there.
It might even matter on stage seeing that light reflects on metal.
Even if it's just a little bit.
Seeing that it is a period piece in the 30's, I would have to say no sweetie.

i don't think it will matter cause can't they edit that stuff out? i remember reading that ashton kutcher refused to take off a red string(?) from his wrist because it was for his faith so they just edited it out. Good Luck!!

Yes and No!
it depends on what kind of act you are in!
i mean i have braces , and that's is what has been stoping me. I was 8 when i got braces , and guess what i have not been it a camercil ever since!

Well since they're on the bottom, they're easier to kind of hide. Just try to make them as discreet as you can. One of my best friends who I see almost every day has had braces for months, and I didn't even realize until last week because she hides them really well.
