Troy and Gabriella's Duet? Urgent-ish.?

Question:In the Stage Musical (either one act or two act) of High School Musical, the song "When There Was Me and You" is changed from a solo song to a Troy/Gabriella duet. Can anyone tell me what Gabriella's part in that song is optimally supposed to sound like? Imput from casting directors would be great. In order to add some dimension and my own spin to the character, I thought I would do some parts more belty and some parts more light and airy; but is it supposed to be one certain way? Also, if there are any vocal exercises that will help me in that particular song, that would be great!

well i know that the song "when there was me and you" only Gabriella sings it ABOUT troy....i hope that halps a little!!
