Find casting calls in your area, for starters. These things do not happen over night. Start with local, community theater as well as acting lessons (and voice/dancing lessons if you wish to be a triple threat. Networks these days usually look for such. Take the High School Musical actors and actresses for example. Not only can they act, but they can sing and dance as well and now they all have success full careers as "triple threats".) in your area. If you are truly committed to making acting your life's work, find yourself a good agent.

Write Billy Ray Cyrus and beg to be on his show.

1. Training. Acting/Dancing/Singing classes are a good start. You start to get some talent under your belt, and grow your confidence. Plus, if after about a year of classes if you realize you really don't like it, it'll be easier for you to back out.

2. Experience. Do Community Theater, act in your school play, get in some student films, etc. You'll want to do as many productions as possible to have a great resume.

As you can see, you're going to need to spend at least two years (At the VERY least. Usually you'll need three to four.) building yourself up. You'll want to make sure this is what you really want to do before you start getting into this.

Also, you should NEVER have to pay for anything when it comes to getting an agent. If an agent tells you to take special classes from them or a website asks for a credit card number, that is a red flag that it is a scam. Some of the big scammers out there are: John Robert Powers, Millie Lewis, John Casablancas, Model Look, Barbizon.

To get your own show there are probably different ways of going about it.
One would be figuring out what you know and what you are good at and are an expert at that you could share with Disney Channel viewers. Put together a program and host it and market it.

Another way would be to go the route of getting noticed. But in order to do that, you have to do a lot of other things first, that could very well take a few years at least.

So, you have to be ready to put in some time and lots of hard work.
