MACBETH?????????????? Need Help!!!!!!!!!!!!?

Question:I have to write a modernization of Macbeth in no less than two typed double-spaced pages. I can't write ten pages, but I need help knowing which characters i can and can't ignore? Also which events i can ignore and the ones i can't !!!!!!! If any one can help me with this, i'd be eternally grateful !!!!!

Ugh, I'm reading this play too.

For characters, you definitely need Macbeth (lead character, kills Duncan, Banquo, Lady Macduff, etc), Lady Macbeth (pushes Macbeth to kill), Duncan (killed by Macbeth), Banquo (killed by two murderers hired by Macbeth), the three witches (interfere with events), Malcolm (Duncan's son), and Macduff (kills Macbeth).

For events you should probably include the scene where the three witches tell their 'prophesy' to Macbeth and Banquo, when Lady Macbeth and Macbeth talk about killing Duncan, Duncan's murder, Banquo's murder, the scene where Banquo's ghost returns to haunt Macbeth (considered the climax), and Macbeth's murder.

Below is a link to a study guide on Macbeth. If I were you I would just use the events and characters mentioned in the overview on this page.

There are probably a few other characters and events that I may have forgetten. Hope I helped!!

Well, you have to have Macbeth, Lady MacBeth, Duncan and possibly his sons.
Then you need MacDuff, the 3 witches and Banquo.
Basically, it's an old-fashioned slasher murder whodunnit. Ambition for power. A frame -up. A touch of black magic. A weaker man driven by a strong woman. You can do it!!

Pretty much everythings mentioned, but i would add the bit where Lady Macbeth talks about washing the blood off her hands. Or when she commits suicide. Make sure you talk about her mental state. Good luck with your paper!
