Just start gathering information first.
1. do research of the market and talk to other actors.
2. find out what it really will mean to become an actress
3. get into a good technique class
4. figure out where you want your area of specialty to be: prime time television, day-time, theatre, industrials, voice over, hosting, etc.
5. get some monologues together and learn the art of auditioning.
6. get head shots, put together a resume and cover letter and send them out to agents.
7. learn other things you need to do as far as marketing is concerend, so that you can assist your agent in finding you work.

For more information, have a look at the following page link on my site. It will give you a lot more information on a variety of subjects, many of which are dedicated to teens: http://www.actingcareerstartup.com/teen_...

Hope that helps.

If you want all the info, just search here for previous answers. (You must have missed the list underneath when you were typing your questions.) This gets asked and answered here about ten times a day. The answers are not going to change.

Well, ask yourself this. "am i passionate about becoming an actress? "or is it just for money and fame", if i were you, i would NOT do it or money or fame, but make sure it is your passion, then you'll work hard at it and get on well with it. Do as many school shows as possible, anything, drama classes.

you can do it !!!

You start in the school plays and speech and drama classes and activities. You then get your parents working for your career by finding you experience, training and an agent. That is the only way you will get anywhere before you are 18. Labor laws require your parents to sign all contracts for you. Of course agents do not cost anything, but you will have to have photos made. Unfortunately, despite what you see on TV there is very little work for young teens in the professional world. That is another reason you need stage parents to push you along.

Hi ya! I'm 12 and I did annie (national tour) for a bit untile last year. I say you should start on broadway (tours), and take whatever comes your way. Like, I did annie for 3 years and by the second year I got an agent and by the third I was annie. Now I'm in Phantom of the Opera (Meg) and I'm contracted so in 3 to 4 years I'll leave and start Cats or get promoted in Phantom (crossing my fingers for christine)
*$ I took LOTS of dance lessons(eg: TONS of ballet, tap, jazz ect.)
*$ Those agents do like money.
Originaly I was going to leave the theater after Annie and do TV and movies but then I dicided I wanted to win a Tony award insted of an Academy award.
*Note be SURE this is what you want to do (your school is going to suffer)

Hope I helped :)
