After the song As Long As You're Mine, Elphie and Fiyero are talking when she gets the vision of a house falling from the sky and killing her sister. She realizes she has to go to Nessa but that it is a big risk of it being a trap. she arrives and finds Glinda saying good bye to Nessa and Elphie gets mad at Glinda because she gave Nessa shoes to Dorthoy (sp?). Glinda replied that Elphie took Fiyero and they get into a cat fight. The Wizard's guards show up and arrest Elphie (Madame Morrible ordered them to follow Glinda). Fiyero who had been following Elphie swings in a points a gun at Glinda demanding that Elphie be free. Although she tries to get Fiyero to go with her he refuses. Elphie gets away and Fiyero gets arrested by the Wizard's guards. That's when the song No Good Deed starts because Elphie is scared that the guards might hurt or even kill Fiyero (thus it beginning with the spell that turns him into the Scarecrow) She gets upset because she feels that if it weren't for her Fiyero wouldn't have been arrested and Nessa wouldn't have been killed.

it's a lot better than in the book. believe me the book makes this part so much sadder.

How was the play--if you don't mind me asking?
I am dying to go.

No good deed goes unpunished?

It just seems that everytime you go out of the way to help someone your life gets messed up by it.
Ex: Your friend calls you and says they need a ride to school cuz they missed the bus ect. you go and get them, more than likely your gonna be late because you helped someone out...

hope it helps!

I soo wanna see that!

when she did a few things to help others, it went wrong in some way and that happens to all of us. but because she's the most hated person around, her faults and mishaps are deemed as catastrophic or malicious. all of this just because she's different.
