I am a very visual person, so I would appreciate a very visual production.

And btw, is the one with Patti LuPone only a concert performance or an actual staging?

I just watched the movie and I think the music was interesting, though not well performed.

Ancient? Okay, li'l fella. Don't be rude and petulant. You asked for the best performance and you were given an answer. The original staging with Lansbury is by far the best performance. It's been broadcast on PBS and can probably be had somehow. It was of good quality. No it wasn't on ESPN in HD, but somehow I'd think you can get over that.

I was going for humor, so I'm glad you took it so. That recording really is pretty good, certainly not 21st century, but well done and on stage, not some in between attempt at a cheap film. I do hope you pick it up and enjoy it! Report It
