How would you dress up the character Puck, from Midsummer night's Dream?

Question:I'm a girl, and the director wants a female Puck, is that possible? Any suggestions about costuming the faerie would help, especially with regard to hair, I have a pixie cut.

i like it when they dress him up like rebellious punk rock kinda thing... i went to a play when puck was dressed like that and it was really cool.......

When I think of fairies lots of greens and leaves come to mind, so if it is possible temporarily dye your hair green (food coloring would work) and pin some leaves in it. Maybe add a few braids here and there (like a hippy!). As for costume something green, light and flowey, to hint at grass.

Think mysterious and nature-like.
