Here are a few quotes:

Calvin Coolidge - Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful people with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan 'press on' has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.

Confucius - Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.

Winston Churchill - Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.

FDR - When you get to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on.

Hope these help, take care.

BTW, you would get a F for even considering it ;)

I would say the best thing to discuss would be not disappointing the audience. I've seen it lots of times especially in school performances, where the actors will get tired towards the end of a season. It's important to remind them that the majority of the audience are there because they DIDN'T see it the night before or earlier in the season. They're expecting the dazzling/fantastic/rocking/inspiring performance the write-up in the paper spoke of.
