Screenplays???

Question:so i am writing an essay for english and we have to do it as a screenplay, im not exactly sure how to write a proper screenplay. would it be something like.......

Walking into a room with a long table set with paper plates, L shaped table in the corner filled with gifts, two slushy machines, and free video games lining the other walls.

Madi runs up...

In panic she says " Miss. Taryn, Ryans bleeding"
I reply " Where is he?"
Answering" With Dax's daddy in the bathroom"

Would that be considered a screen play? i want to write a bit of a story so my teacher can see the set up of the rooms where the party was at but yet get the convo in between me and the kids....How do i do that?

It'd be more like.....

INT. FUN ROOM - DAY (This is the way to write a scene heading)

(Description goes here) "PERSON A" table decored with paper plates, and L shaped table in the corner is stacked with gifts, while two slush machines and video games line the walls. (Always make descriptions short and sweet).

MEDI runs up (since this is the first time we see Medi, the name is to be CAPITALIZED).

MEDI
(in a panic)
Miss Taryan, Ryan is bleeding!

PERSON A
Where is he?

MEDI
With Dax's daddy in the bathroom!

wouldnt consider a screenplay, more of a treatment... but you can download a free screenplay processor called Roughdraft. That'd help (or pay $200 for final draft).

but best way is to use the format... Scene descriptions, indented dialogue and action directions. You should also see other screenplays (script-o-rama.com) and see how thiers are formatted.
