Well on the acting...really review your lines. Make sure you know them first of all. Once you've done that, you need to go through on each line and ask yourself,"Why is my character saying this?". That will give you a better understanding about what inflexion you should use. Then put feeling into it! Finally, practice, practice, practice! When you're on stage make sure your not fidgeting and be aware of your body. Are your arms dangling uselessly? Lol. You get the gist.

As far as singing goes, take every opportunity you get! Join a choir, try out for community theater, if your still in school make your elective choir! You'll never get anywhere if you don't. To tell if your teacher/director is good, ask them to show you how to sing with your diaphragm. They should give you some way to feel it. For example, put one hand on your front and one on your back. Push out every speck of air in you until you think you're going to die. Then open your mouth and let air flow in. You'll feel inside of you that your diaphragm expanded. That's how it should be every time you sing. Like someone said before cold water and dairy will make you clog up before a show. So will the sugars in soda. Don't sing with your nose, nor throat.

Another thing that will help you along your way is to be outgoing and kind! If there's a part (as in harmony) someone needs to do, volunteer yourself. It will make you stand out. And then people will remember you. NEVER be too outgoing, to the point of rude though. Because that will work in the opposite way. If you do things for other people, you'll get rewarded.

Also maybe you should learn some dance. It could help you. For example, if you're in musical theater you'll probably get more stage time + you'll be remembered as 'that one who could dance'. Most directors look for the big three:singing, dancing, and acting. To tell the truth, a lot of people who do acting do all three. They kinda just go hand in hand. If you can't dance too, you might miss out on a part you could've gotten otherwise. I would just take a bit of dance at a local dance studio.

I hope this helps! :)

My biggest tip would be to study. Take classes. Perform as much as you can - in plays and musicals, not in pageants and talent shows. By the way - You're not an actor and singer just because you say you are. People go to college and spend tens of thousands of dollars and work for years to learn how to do this stuff.

Study up and have fun doing it!

For acting, just take every opportunity to learn more about it, and how to do it. Stand in front of your mirror, and read something, like maybe a monologue of a character in a book, and watch your facial expressions to see how you act. Let yourself fall into a character or emotion.

For singing, all I can say is, if you have a performance coming up, refrain from dairy so you won't have any mucus in your throat and your breathing areas will be cleared.

go to some audition, maybe you can catch the chance!
