they didnt just come out and say KILL people...he took it upon himself because of his greed

i don't really get what you are asking but. the three witches told him that he was going to become King. He found this impossible considering there were so many in the way.. well like 2-3.. but when the first in line is killed, Macbeth believes the prophecy and then kills Duncan to further his coming to power...
