Question:We are doing a trio version of the famous song, but we'd like to try a harmony. We know the original notes, but we need some help finding a lower harmony and a higher harmony. I know I can't read music (hehe..), but I'm not sure if the other 2 girls can...Thanks!!

If you can't read the music, how would you learn the harmony? Even if we had an idea ... you don't read music. =) On the off chance -

I was going to suggest you split out on perfect thirds on the "where" of "some-where" and stick (mostly) on those lines. There's a minor note in the chord on "fly" (as in "birds-fly") that you would need to find. (If it were in the key of E flat, you would be going to e-flat, b-flat, and g on the "where." The minor note on "fly" would be a b-natural in that chord, which is an a-flat minor.)

NYC gave some good suggestions. I'd also add that the harmonies could be moving lines, rather than just parallel thirds.

It's going to be a challenge to do an "upper" harmony at the beginning, since it jumps an octave.

Get the Celtic Woman songbook. There is a GORGEOUS 3 part version of that song in there. It's incredibly difficult, but very beautiful. However, if you can't read music, you might have a problem. Hopefully you have someone who can teach it to you.
