Position:Home>Theater & Acting> What are some tragic flaws in Romeo and Juliet? Why? I know he's impulsive {

Question:Juliet was young (between 13-14). In her days, women and girls were not allowed to make decisions of their own, which is why she was forced into marriage. You throw into that equasion the forbidden love of an enemy, and you have disaster written all over it. Not to mention that Romeo kills her cousin. The relationship was doomed from first exchanged looks. And because they were so young, and took their lives, it makes the story all the more tragic.

Also, for that every good thing that happens, something bad happens. For instance, when romeo and juliet get married, several hours later, mercutio dies and romeo kills tybalt thus getting him banished. That is an example of a tragic flaw. So really, ( i had to write an essay concering this) really, The fact that each houses were enemeys, yet their kids loved each other. that would also be another flaw... just elaborate upon that. and think about what else happens in the play

Hope this helps
