I want to be a star what do i do?

Question:i am 12 years old and i want to be a star. I sing really good. ive been in lots of quiors and stuff and i live n s.c. do u know where i can go to audition or find an agent? Please Help!!!!!

Be ready to sell your soul and dignity.

I've been in show biz for a long time, take it from me. Big things have small beginnings. First, get involved at school. Is there a drama department? Does your school put on plays? You might try joining the chorus or band, too, anything that gets you on stage. Have your parents videotape any performance you give. You might try a summer project with some friends and put on a show of your own. Again, make sure it gets videotaped. Videos can be sent to talent agencies, or shown on the internet. Good Luck!

Everybody wants to be a star, sister. Not just you.

The question is, do you want to act, or do you want to be a star. It if it the latter, you might want to rethink that. If you want to be a performer, study hard, take classes, and don't be full of yourself. Go to summer acting programs. Audition for everything you can locally. Go to a good college theatre program or acting conservatory.

Keep in mind - For those folks that have the guts to take the leap and move to New York to audition and work, only 1 in 12,000 ever ends up making it into a Broadway show. (And you have to be in the union to even attend an auditions.) Contrary to popular belief, it doesn't pay as much as you would think it does.

(And you don't need an agent. Most people don't get agents until after their career has been somewhat established.)

you dont need an agent or auditions, you need experience acting. Get in some plays and find out if you can cut it.

First, learn how to spell. Second, if the only reason you want to go into acting is to be a star, then you might as well give up now. You probably will never be a star no matter how good you are, and if you ever do it will be a long and grueling trip getting there, to be able to get through it you need to really love acting or singing or whatever, not just be a star.
