I need costume ideas. Can anyone help?

Question:I'm a townsperson in The Somewhat True Tale of Robin Hood and I'm not sure what my costume should look like. If anyone has done the play or anything please help me out. It needs to be somewhat funny, but still look like a poor person....I think.

i would get(or make) a full skirt with a deep color, an apron of a lighter color with pockets(you should distress it a bit to look real), a blouse with full sleeves of an earthy tone, a vest that ties up the front that is also a deep color like the skirt, a shawl that has a washed out color, and a mop cap. that's what i would put you in as a costume designer.
