You can always be an extra. Just google the name of your state and film commision. For example:

But if you really want to try to get in a movie, you will need to get an agent.
These "sweepstakes" don't come around too often.

These "sweepstakes" of which you speak of, are probably a scam.... Yeah its hard hearing about stuff like that...
