Position:Home>Theater & Acting> Help! I'm starring in my first Theatrical production!!!!!!?Question:Alright, so my junior highschool is putting on "Seussical the Musical" this year and I have always been fascinated bby theatre arts and acting, but have never really been involved. This year since people I knew were trying out, so did I. To make a long story short my natural acting and singing abilities earned me the lead -Horton the Elephant-. Dress rehersal is tommorow (Saturday Feb.23) And we preform Feb. 28th-March 2nd. It's double casted so Im only Horton on two nights but I'm not sure where to look when I sing out into the audiance (not reacting to characters or when I'm alone on stage) Please help me, so I don't look tense or unsure on stage. Should I look right in the back? Or at the audiance's heads? Or maybe even right at them? I'm comfortable looking into the audiance but I don't look at them the whole time (obviously, since I have to interact with the other characters.) But I just need help for when I do sing out to the audiance... What would look best??? Thanks A Million When you look into the audience it brings them out of the magic of your performance and makes them focus on you the actor, not Horton the Elephant. Look out in the back, right above the audience's head. Pretend like there is a wall blocking your view of the audience. Break a leg! Thanks to everyone! All of you're answers really did help!
