The Pirates of Penzance?

Question:What are the main female roles in this musical and what do they do? What is the basic plot? I'm auditioning and this is one of the plays it may be.

Maybelle and Ruth are the two lead females (maybelle is the major generals daughter and love interest of fredric) ruth is fredrics nanny. There are many daughter I think the other featured daughter is Kate?? (can't remeber her name she is the leader of the daughters)

Plot:

Fredric is apprenticed to be a pirate till his 21st birthday.
Ruth the nanny misunderstood it was actually to be a pilot.
Fredric turns 21 and decides to leave the pirates and his life of crime to join the british navy.
Fredric is about to marry ruth because he thinks all women appears as her.
Sees a bevy of beuaties and spurns her Ruth leaves sad.
All the lovely ladies freak out becaus ehe is pirate.
Except Maybelle who falls in love with Fredric.
The Pirates come ashore see the lovely women and behave the way pirates do.
Enter their ladies father the major general, who manages by some trickery to get the pity of the pirates saying he is an orphan and to not take his only family.
The pirates back off pitying the orphan.
The girls are safe.
The major general meets fredric he is okay with the match all is well, except he is feeling guilty for lying.
The pirate king and ruth come to find fredric because they found a loophole in the contract. it says 21st bday, fredirc was born on leap year and is technically only five.
As a slave to duty Fredric must return. He says goodbye to Maybelle and returns to his ship.Fredirc now beng a pirate also confesses the major general lied about being an orphan.
The pirates return.
Meanwhile because the pirates are in town the cops are on patrol,

Madcap running around occurs, finally the pirates and police unite in their love of Queen Victoria, the major general's daughters all marry pirates and everyone lives happily ever after.

WHEW!

There is a smashing version with Kevin Kline and Angela Lansbury on video it is hysterical!

Little Buttercup has the biggest role. Others are soprano heroine and "sister, cousins, and aunts."
Plot: captain's daughter loves humble sailor, is sought in marriage by the First Lord of the Navy. Parental objections, crew plots.
Turns out the captain and Navy head were switched in cradle by Buttercup, who was a careless nursemaid (I guess so!) So their adult careers are switched!
I've seen it several times and enjoyed it; once was somewhat spoiled by weak heroine voice.

Last year I played the lead male role, Frederic. It's such a great show! StageAgent is really useful in general for finding character information.

This is one of my favorite plays and any female role you get will be well worth it.
