It was quite a surprise when I found out. First I thought it was a joke, then I was confused, then I was deppresed. I think it came as such a shock because so many people love it. For many it was their first Broadway show, when they hear Rent, it's something special to them. I know it is for me. I always thought it was going to be the next "Phantom of the Opera" and last another ten years. It's dissapointing for sure, but if the show isn't making money any more, I guess it makes sence to close it down. I imagine they'll be a revival, maybe in five or ten years, but until then we have touring companies.

I didn't know that!! That's soooo sad, I love rent.

I absolutely love Rent. I saw the New York show twice in 2007 and I want to see it again before it closes.

i never got a chance to see it

OMG are serious?!!?! That's like, my all-time favorite movie and I've always wanted to go see it on Broadway. Gotta go to New York before it closes.
