I wouldn't say I knew I wanted to act.

In Africa, theatre is total such that all the performing arts come into play.

What I knew definitely was that I wanted to be a musician and that love was what eventually drew me into the theatre, through musical theatre.

In my teen days however, there was a very strong theatre on our street such that I also developed strong admiration and commitment albeit to the artistes more than to the art.How else could it have been when I watched them make their theatre right from scratch.

Yes. I was five when I was first onstage. I was starring in school productions when I was seven.

My mother made the decision for me, I was modeling at 18 months and did my first commerical at 2 :), but I was always into it, I started doing live theatre at 5 (Molly in Annie) and have been in love with theatre ever since .

My family always felt I was very theatrical. It took me a lot longer to realize it I could make a living doing what I love. I pursued many avenues before it lead me back to the obvious.

When I was little, I did impressions( mostly dance moves & movie lines). I knew I wanted/or was supposed to be an actress!! Even to this day, I can hear a song, & think up a dance, or mini movie!! AAAHHH......Good times, Good times!!

The extent of my acting took place in a huge apple tree where I would often climb in the field in back of my home as a child. I have always loved books so I would act out one man plays and verses of poetry in "my tree". At times, a childhood friend of mine and I would dress up and pretend to be whatever we were feeling at the time. That was always fun and interesting because I would have been too shy at that time to get on stage and do those things. .

Sometimes I think it would be fun to get on stage now though, and take part in a play. We have various theater groups around my area so who knows, maybe some day I'll do it just for fun.

From when I was about 5 :-)

I have been performing all of my life. My mother sang gospel quartet and my dad sang the blues. The whole family would on occasion sing with and for one another. I didn't realize what that meant until I studied music in high school and played with some friends in a band and got a taste of performing in public. I am a musician, actor, singer and dancer. Yes I have been performing all of my life. I didn't know what to call it at an earlier age. Just something I enjoyed doing.

I love acting.. and was in all 3 of my high school plays.. wish i could do that now..

I;ve been acting since I was 6 but I mainly started as wanting to be a singer.
By the time I was 6 I had written about 35 songs.
But I just always wanted be an actress.
I dont even remember when it started I think I was born with it.
Might be because my whole family is somehow in the biz from singing to acting to modeling to dancing,
So I guess I sort of caught on.

I would not say I knew from an early age. I have been in stage shows since i was about 5 and i kind of liked it, but it wasnt my favorite thing in the world. I had to quit when i was 9 because I moved too far from the company i did shows with. It wasnt until about last spring i realized how much i missed it. I then looked for opprotunities in my area and i started auditioning for different places. I am 13 now and i cant imagine myself doing anything else.

Everyone I know in the profession, including myself, came
out of the womb singing, dancing, acting or performing
for others in some way. It's evident very early on. Each of
us have talked about putting on plays behind blankets, held
by clothespins on a rope in the garage, back yard or in
our rooms. We all sang our hearts out, using vegetables for
microphones or anything else. And all of us started tap,
ballet and modern around 5, followed by drama lessons,
elocution and little drama groups for kids. But this was
L.A. and nobody ever thought they would do anything
different than entertain. It was all based on films we
had seen and I remember standing out in the back
yard when I was 3 with my arms out, waiting for the
birds to dress me *Cinderella*. If you can, rent a
movie called "Margorie Morningstar" with Natalie Wood
about summer stock...you'll love it.

To tell u the truth, I took acting classes and was in theater when I was 4. I have been in it ever since because its my dream and i am following it!

Other than at school, I never really did any thing the least bit theatrical(LOL) but I enjoyed it!

Performing scares the life out of me. I perform as a musician, not an actress... I couldn't act or sing if my life depended on it.

I used to do impressions when I was younger. I was president of the drama club in high school and got a lot of acting parts auditioning for them in high school, my teachers thought that I should do it professionally, but I just enjoyed doing it for fun. I don't believe that I could do it professionally, too much competition. That would take all of the fun out of it for me.
