Is it better to go to Los Angeles or New York?

Film/TV go to LA. Theater go to NYC.

los angeles has a better setup for young upcomming actors but more competition...nyc has a bit less but isn't as reknown

New York I live here and it is great

i would say new york becuase LA is like u need money to make it and in NY u can be yourself but it really depends on where you like if u live closert o La then go to LA why waste ur time going to NY if you live near california

I always think of New York being a better environment for someone venturing to conquer the stage and Los Angeles more for film. Personally, I would go to New York. Being on Broadway would be a dream come true for me. Good luck!

Well NY has more stage and soap opportunities and both are easier to audition for.

LA has more film and nighttime TV work and you can do a lot of non-union extra work which can pay well if you do enough work. LA requires a car.

New York is definetly better. there's less competition it seems cuz everyone wants to go to LA. there are just as many opportunitites especially theater in New york
