Lafe is a minor character that appears in the Bricktown, Arkansas section of Big River...the part is always played by an actor who double in two or three other roles...In the Original Broadway company, the same actor who played Lafe, also played the part of Counseler Robinson and one of the three men on the raft in Cairo, Illinois, and also a field hand on a farm near Hillsboro.
