I have to write an 'evaluation' essay for my writing class on RENT. Help

Question:I know this is long...but please read.
I have to write an 'evaluation' essay for my writing class. I decided (for now) that I want to do it on RENT the movie versus the play. The details as to what exactly I am suppose to be evaluating are a little fuzzy. But here's the thing; I've never actually seen that play. I own the movie and adore it. I was wondering if there was anyplace that I could get (buy or rent) a copy of the play on VHS or DVD. There's a commentary on the DVD that talks about the play, and what they had to change and why, so I could use that, but I think actually seeing the play would help.
Going to NYC to see the play (which has its LAST show on June 1st!!!) is out of the question, even though it's for an educational purpose. :D I already tried that.
So like I said, if there is someplace that I can get a copy of the play, could you please PLEASE let me know!!!!

No I am sorry but i do not know where you could find a copy of the play but maybe if you really need help send me a messsage i know a lot about the play and i can answer any questions that you have. Also you can get some parts of it on youtube yes youtube search I'll cover you and go down until you see a picture of jesse and it will be i'll cover you reprise that person has a few clips also their is another thing called Rent10

If you are fuzzy on the assignment, ask the teacher. If you have not seen the stage show, change your topic, it is dumb to do it about something you know nothing about. A recording of the stage play is no longer a stage play, you have to see it live for it to qualify. Otherwise you would be compareing two different movies of the same show. Why dont you to the film of rent vs a film of La Boheme?.

Hi, you haven't shared your topic guidelines with us but I don't understand why you'd choose to compare two versions of RENT when you've only seen one? That's going to make it much too hard for you surely? If it has to be a stage/movie comparison, is there anything you can think of where you've seen both? If so you should choose that!
