any developed actor knows that they are not just playing the role, they ARE the role.
how better to portray the character than to actually believe you ARE the character, visualising every facet of their life, and having the same mentality that they themself have.

to believe is to be, as Stanislavski said

Learning to act is a life time experience. You must discover what your talent is and then perfect it thru experience and education.

Well Im pretty good at acting.

When your playing a sad role put the perspective in your life (which means) pretend its real. Then think of something a little emotonal and that should help with the crying. Projection remember not to get nervous and to speak up, not so loudly that your screaming but as if your.... talking really loud! Now I dont know your part so I cant help you with movements but usually when your sad 9your body) tends so hunch over and you move like a sloth. lol hope I helped.
