thats a dumb question.
sarah jessica parker has a big nose and is 5'4
holly hunter is 5'2
drew barrymore, madonna, lucy lui, and britney spears are 5'4
ashley olsen and natalie portman are 5'3
paula abdul, christina aguilera, and jennifer love hewitt are 5'2.
and even though most actors are gorgeous and skinny, not all of them are!
good luck.

No youre never too short too be an actor its all about talent

no way, look at danny devito or mini me

no its not just look at some of the actors! they are so short!!

Lets see who is short and is an actor.

Tom Cruise
Dustin Hoffman
Danny Devito

Those are the only ones I can think of, but they manage to make a living acting.

Well, there was this midget guy from austin powers and look at him, he's a millionaire.. rofl =]

It does not matter. If you are strong in every other thing then they dont really care. They are always looking for the best of the best, and if you have been told you can do it before...im positive your hight wont matter

no I doubt it, I mean Ryan Seacrest is really short too. I think one of the Simpson's are as well.

Not really. There are a lot of Hollywood actors that are very short. Look at mini me and Danny Devitto. For stuff like Modeling and or bodybuilding competition, it's better to be tall!

Nope shortness doesn't matter, I mean look at all the top Hollywood stars, even among men (mel gibson, tom cruise) these guys are like midgets but became huge successes on film. Depending on how they film it they can make you look as tall or short as needed so its not an issue. Plus, being a woman, you have even less to worry about, its probably better since then you won't tower over all the short actors.

if you work your butt off, and have real talent, you can get acting jobs. you may have to work a little harder than others, but if you really want it, and can prove that, you can land an audition.

there are plenty of short actors, male and female that are huge stars in hollywood. if you have the talent, you can make it work. they have camera tricks to make you look taller etc.

get out there and start working on your skills and auditioning!

it's totally fine. If your pretty, in shape, and smart, then your good to go. especially if your talented. if people have told you your too short, don't listen to them, heck, Hillary Duff is like only 5'3" or something like that, look at her, she's doing just fine. so don't worry about it.

Tom Cruise is incredibly short. Height is a factor but it won't hold you back unless you let it.

It all depends on wat the director is looking for in that character.... You could be the best looking and the right height but not have the tone of voice that their looking for. You never know...just put on your best for the director or who ever is watching the auditions. And if u dont get a part ur looking for, dont worry about it! You might be better for another part in something else! Just keep trying and give it all you got! I'm in drama class at my school, and sometimes I dont get the part i want but I get another part....becuz I fit that character more. Just keep on going for it! Acting rocks!!!!

Certain people have been shut down to acting jobs due to hight, but they need actors(actresses) of all shapes and sizes, look around, there are big ones small ones, fat ones, skinny ones, long-haired, short- haired, TALL, SHORT, they need people of all sizes, because they are trying to act out real life.
And don't forget, the magic of television!

To tell you the truth they really shouldn't care about you height. But for certain roles they will probably have to have certain people. Even if you are too short and they don't pick you, that's their lose not yours. If your short, tall, thin, or even overweight that shouldn't matter what should matter is how you feel about yourself.

Trust me you are never to short for anything, I should know. I'm 4' 9" and 28yrs old. Don't let things get you down. I have learned a lot in my life and one was not to let my shortness get in the way. Good luck to you and hope all goes well to you and hope to see you on the big screen.

I was an actor in Hollywood for 8 years, and the type that was MOST in demand ALWAYS was for actors who were over 18 and could play under 18. A prime example was the actor who played Andrea on Beverly Hills 90210. She was 30 and still playing a high school kid.

Tom Cruise and a lot of other actors got famous for that reason. Tom started playing teens when he was in his 20s, so his height was an advantage then.

Additionally, if you've ever watched Charmed, you'll get a sense of how short Alyssa Milano is, and how awkward it looks when she has all these tall actors playing her boyfriends. It's not good for Alyssa being so short, but guys short enough to make her look normal sized would certainly be in demand on that set.

whattta need details? the answer is no.
