Good for you for wanting to audition. To calm down, drink herbal tea. Stop doubting yourself. Think to yourself, "I can do this, and no one's going to stop me." Give your audition your absolute everything. Focus. The most important thing is to have confidence in yourself. Also, and I know you don't want to hear this, but don't be afraid of rejection. You have many more auditions to come if acting is truly your passion. Just focus, breathe, and have fun acting. Directors like it when you have fun.

GOOD LUCK!

there is a quote i once heard, and it really helps me with times like this... will smith said it in an interview, and for some strange reason it has stuck with me and motivated me. He said "never again will i not be good enough". Think about it.
best of luck!! im sure you will shine!

Calm down, honey, it is the old JR Powers SCAM. It is a waste of time to go. They are just going to eventually call you and ask you to take their very over priced lessons. Forgetaboutit. You want to be an actor, then do everything speech and drama at school.

wheres the audition? if its other than in so cal or new york its not real, and acting isn't about being stressed its about doing what you love, if you dont LOVE it and you just want to be famous don't do it the agents will see right through you if you have no perpose!!!!

I'm very proud of you for taking this big step! And I wish you good luck ahead of time! About 2 weeks ago I tried out for a musical (Les Miserables). The acting part of it was very easy. They just gave me a script and had me read a specific part. The most important thing to know, is that you have to believe in yourself. If you don't have confidence, then you'll never get a part. I was extremely nervous, but the best thing I could do, was to fake it! I had to fill out a form before trying out-my hands were SHAKING terribly! But I would NOT let the judges see it! After I was there for a little bit and saw others trying out, I got a lot more comfortable.

If you try to think about how nervous others will be, and try to have fun, it'll calm your nerves!

If you don't get the part, then some experience would probably help you for next time. Try out for a play. They're always desperate for play participants around here! It would give you a lot of experience for when you're ready for the camera!

Keep me posted! I'd like to know if you get the part!

Good luck!!!!!!!

You definitely need to calm down! I haven't ever been to a acting audition, but i have been to a modeling audition and I felt the same way as you. I think you just need to meditate. Go to a small, quiet place where no one will bother you, clear everything out of your mind, don't think about anything else. Stay there for a while and then walk out and be calm for the rest of the time before the audition. Hope to see you on Disney Channel and Nickelodeon!!!

How did you get the job could you please let me know by answering my question I've posted?

For Acting, I would recommend

Without knowing very much more about your audition, the only concrete advice anyone can offer is to be relaxed. Is it for a specific show? Or is it for an agency? Is this place asking for any money from you? (If they are, don't waste your time!) What do you know about the character?

Hope that helps.
