Which acting agency is better?

Question:is CAA, william morris, or CESD a better agency? i have been acting for a while now and have been in a couple of commercials and some ads so which is a better agency? if anyone knows of any agencies that are better than these feel free to add them

Sorry, those agencies are not going to give you the time of day. Even if they do take you on, they're priority is going to be their superstar clients and you will just get lost.

Check out some smaller boutique agencies who can focus more on you and really help take your career to the next level.

As for what's the best agency - it's the one that will get you consistent auditions! If you're in New York or LA and are considering agencies, you may want to consider getting a manager as well.

As for actually getting an agent, you have to do it like everyone else - get a copy of the Ross Reports, do a huge mailing and pray that you get at least 1 call.

I doubt any of them will take you without an Emmy or Oscar nomination, star credit in TV or Movies.

These agencies approach you, you don't approach them as a general rule.

My TV commercial producing partners got a show to pilot with NBC and the agent who negociated their deal eventually moved to APA and he couldn't bring them into the fold because it was their first show and it didn't go series so he kept letting them use his name and APA address, but he couldn't sign them.

Another friend of ours co-wrote a script with a William Morris writer client and he was represtend by WMA for the tenure of that script, but NOT after the deal was done and over. He had to go to a small agent because he wasn't as big as the other writer.
