What is a good audition song for a 14 year old with a small range alto voice?

Question:Well i am a teen with a (bigger range) alto voice and for an audition i just sang "It's Raining On Prom Night" from Grease the musical. But you can also try "Go Tell It On the Mountain" or Somewhere Over the Rainbow" Good luck!

What kinds of songs do you like to sing? There are tons out there that would fit yur range , it just depends on whether you like singing trendy or old fashioned songs. Please be more specific.

I'm 13, I just did an audition, I was so nervous about ym song also, I went to so many boards I didnt even want to go anymore....I made it though, I would pick a song from a familiar play that you really think you can do. Like......hmm......your favorite play?

How about "On My Own" from Les Miserables, or "Stranger to the Rain" from CHildren of Eden. There are millions of song you can sing!

well for an alto i would recommend singing "Don't Cry for Me Argentina" from Evita. It'll impress the judges and it would work for an alto if u bring it one octave lowers which should be fine.
