I need help with a monolouge?

Question:One tree hill is doing this thing where you get to send a video of yourself. they ask that you explain why you should be on the show. i was thinking of going with this as a start

"I am not the typical one tree hill fan, im a teenager from the bronx and would love to go and meet the cast but also get down to business aswell." how does that sound? any tips?

and this is only supposed to be 30 SECONDS LONG!!

I think its good, because youre not like
OMG!!! i love it and i would die if i didnt get this!!
the would scare them, maybe add somethign else to connect with the people more- OTH usually have really inspiring deep quotes, so try do do somethign to show them you know the show well!

Dont just say youll love to meet the cast, because you can do that anywhere say- I would love to experiance the feeling of being on such a successful Tv program, that adresses to a wide range of people- including me, I think i can really relate to Lucas,, ect.... why? BLah!! you do the rest! dont be too formal but dont be too laid back, this is business so they need someone who will help hem make money not sit around...

Consider what makes you unique other than not being the typical fan, what is it about you that would make them choose you over the other several thousand not typical fans who are saying the exact same phrase.
