Position:Home>Theater & Acting> What did you think of the play, A Midsummer Night's Dream?

Question:I think it's one of Shakespeare's finest comedies, not only full of humor in several levels, but very thoughtful as a consideration of love through its four themes:
--Love victorious over conflict (Theseus and Hippolyta)
--Love confused (Helena-Hermia-Demitrius-Lysander)
--Love in turmoil (Oberon-Titania)
--Innocent love (Bottom and the honest, rude mechanicals--themselves, not in their Pyramus and Thisbe play, which itself is a paler reflection of the love theme).

And a fabulous epilogue by Puck.

Oh its my favorite of Shakespeare's Plays. I love it the characters are so much fun to play.

I love it. It has a great plot and its so well written!

LUV IT!!!!!!

I was in it last year. It is sooo awesome! The thing about SHakespeare and modern audiences is that they don't have a clue what's going on. THe actors can make it funny, sad, or ridiculous!

It's a terrific play; you ought to give it a read sometime.

It's good.
