Heed previous advice. Universities are notoriously bad for training actors. There are a few exceptions and they are very exclusive, very expensive and they have senior showcases for casting directors and agents. If you want to be a film actor, college may not be a good idea. Seriously, before you go into any school for acting, read True and False by David Mamet. Find it at Barnes and Nobel and then decide where you want to act.

I really do not know about UNLV. Some of the best Schools - state schools - are Northwestern, the University of Texas at Austin and NYU. Check the school productions and see what you think of the performances (the full spectrum). That should give you an idea. If you have the passion to learn, sometimes it really does not matter how good the school is. Unless you plan to go to Julliard or enter Yale Rep (for grads), then it really doesn't matter on a resume.

nyu's tisch school for the performing arts or julliard or nyu in general julliard is hard to get into and you have to have amazing talent to get in there
but tisch is a really good one
