For all of you Broadway lovers what is your opinion on the making of "Shrek

Question:I can't believe that they are turning that into a musical. The movie was good, but come on. I really don't think they should put it on Broadway. Any thoughts?

shows America is being dumbed down, Broadway used to be about great drama and theatre, now it is about kiddie shows.

mermaid bombed so idk how shrek is gonna work out...

...however the ppl that put the music together for Thoroughly Modern Millie are doing the music for Shrek so maaaybe it has a shot... i'd see it, but only for student rush prices

it will probably get more child fans but i think it's a horrible idea and it won't last long

disney has this trend about turning movies into musicals...
somthing it works (lion kings...littler mermaid) other times AS IN SHREK...ITS JUST NOT RIGHT!
no i don't think its gonna last...mabye to some families i guess...but its just not enough plot to work with...and what would they sing about?? being green (wiked alreayd took that sweetie...lol)

It's going to bomb. I highly doubt it'll have terribly much success, and I just don't see it being performed on a stage. Not exactly my taste.

i dont think its a good idea. the costumes are probably gonna look super scary. Shrek was a good movie, why cant they leave it at that?! I wonder what they are going to do about songs becuse the movie already has a soundtrack. I think it will BOMB

i personally think between it and the little mermaid broadway may die.
