Is it me or do the entire cast of Harry Potter need acting lessons?

Question:my partner usually took the children to the movies so i never really got a chance to watch them,but recently when my children bought the latest one i watched it with them,none of them could act,you would think after all these Potter movies they would have learned to act.

Really annoys me how the likes of vinny jones- arnie etc get into the business by who they are and NOT their acting skills.
I find that the populous these days are easily entertained too??

Its a childrens movie in my opinion, so why bother with the proper acting. Oh lets wave around the magic wand...... pants....

I think Harry and Ron have improved a lot as the series progressed, but Hermione can be toe-curlingly bad still!

Kids dont really care much for the acting.Yet they do have a keen eye for trends,regardless of the quality.I still cant get my head around pokemon!

they're definitly not the best actors. but i don't like emma watson. shes a snob.

They have had too many acting lessons!!! Especially the one who plays Hermione - she overacts her little heart out and it's quite embarrasing to watch sometimes

For if you're saying Sir Michael Gambon, Dame Maggie Smith, Alan Rickman, Ralph Fiennes, Julie Walters, Richard Griffiths, Robbie Coltrane and a variety of the cream of British acting talent need acting lessons then I am afraid I shall be forced to point and laugh at you. Loudly.

I have never seen you act so I can`t answer all of this question.
I would have thought that the "cast" would have learned to act before the start of the films.
It`s all crap and leaves me and my son completely disinterested.

Thank heavens I am not alone - I have expressed this view to many friends and they have all treated me like a heretic. They CAN NOT ACT! the sfx is great, the story line is fine (if a little overly dependant on the original work of Dianna Wynne Jones) but the alleged actors, can not act!!! Finally, some sanity in the world!!!

l take it you mean the younger members of the cast - in which case it is certainly not you. The more mature members are a different matter - but it's hard to look good if the original material is not very good...

They were acceptable. You have to remember most of them are under 18 and over 15 with limited experience compared to Chuck Heston!

Plus they are supposed to be kids

If I were to film 16 year olds at highschool without them knowing it, they'd look foolish!
