How do I get into the acting career?

Question:Ok, this is more for my friend then me! She is wanting to get into acting like for disney or something like that! She is really good, can sing.. ect! But we dont know where to start, where to go.. things like that! Does anyone know a good place to start?

and what I have been doing is going online and finding casting calls and other things for acting. sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt.

but i know someone who can try to get you into that kind of buisness and its for disney and nickolodien. I have the phone number. telll me if you want it!

The only way for a young teen to become an actor is for their parents to work very hard at getting them experience, training and an agent. THERE IS NO OTHER WAY.

You search online, specifically Yahoo! Yahoo spits out great sites for cast auditions and so forth. Most are really for back up castings etc. This method may take a while, due to the fact you have to build up your career and build a resume if you will.

Second is to look for casting on big films, such as Harry Potter etc. Where thousands of individuals audition for one role, that would require talent and luck. Either way it's difficult. Some actors just build up there careers, others just get big out of one single role from an audition that involved thousands. But since you are just starting up, looking for local auditions is the best route! Good luck, hope to see you on the big screen one day!!
