Position:Home>Theater & Acting> Screenplay dialog?

Question:Okay I'm writing a screenplay and my character in this scene are whatching t.v. I wanted the t.v. to be playing Goodfellas. The part where Spider gets shot in the foot. I was wondering for the t.v. dialog if the t.v. dialog has more than one character if you have to put the dialog to show what each t.v. character says? 4 Xample;

t.v. dialog;
Spider
Tommy, don't **** around.
Tommy
Yahooo
Henry
Tommy, don't **** around put the gun away. Tommy!

Would you write the t.v. dialog like this or just write it out with out what the t.v. character is saying?
Thanks in advance. *I hate school projects >_>*

You would do the following:

Spider(V.O.)
Tommy, don't .....around.

Tommy(V.O.)
Yahoo.

Henry(V.O.)
Tommy, don't *** around put the gun away. Tommy!

If you wanted to INSERT scenes from the movie you would use the INSERT and BACK TO SCENE formatting to include
parts of the movie that would work.
