Which is a larger role in Guys & Dolls?

Question:In the musical Guys & Dolls, which is a larger role, Sky Masterson or Nathan Detroit? Also, what about Sarah Brown or Adelaide (which is bigger of those 2)?

All four are leading roles, although for awards purposes, Sky and Sarah would probably be nominated for Actor and Actress; whereas Nathan and Adelaide would get Supporting. I think the roles are equal; Sky is the romantic lead and Nathan is the comedic lead. PR could capitalize on name actors being in any of these 4 roles. Nathan Lane rose to stardom in a 19990s version of G and D but nobody remembers who Sky was in the production. You could do the same thing with the females if you cast someone like Bette Midler as Adelaide (a few years back). Who would remember your Sarah then?

They're all leads, but Sarah and Sky are more of the romantic "leading man/woman" roles and Sky and Adelaide are more "Character" roles.

Leads: Sky and Sarah
Supporting: Nathan and Adelaide

Kinda funny- I don't care for the role of Sarah, yet love Adelaide. Hate the role of Nathan but really like the role of Sky.
