Position:Home>Theater & Acting> Which acts are these two quotes in in romeo and juliet?

Question:But soft, what light through yonder window breaks?
It is the east, and Juliet is the sun.
Arise, fair sun, and kill the envious moon,
Who is already sick and pale with grief
That thou, her maid, art far more fair than she. . . .
The brightness of her cheek would shame those stars
As daylight doth a lamp; her eye in heaven
Would through the airy region stream so bright
That birds would sing and think it were not night.

O Romeo, Romeo,
wherefore art thou Romeo?
Deny thy father and refuse thy name,
Or if thou wilt not, be but sworn my love,
And I’ll no longer be a Capulet.

Both in act 2. It's the famous balcony scene!

Act 2 Scene 2

wow this two are how the play got famous

The first one is either Paris or Romeo. I am thinking Romeo.
And duh! The second one is totally Juliet. (Or maybe Rosemary...)

i m pretty sure they are both in the first act

Act 2

They are both in Act 2, from the famous balcony scene.

Both of them are in Act Two, Scene Two. The first is the beginning of Romeo's monologue, which opens the scene, and the second is Juliet's opening monologue. At the end of the quote you've posted, that's Juliet's cue to appear at the balcolny, but Romeo goes on for several more lines before she interupts him.
