Position:Home>Theater & Acting> Film Acting: Does acne/cold sores really matter?

Question:I know I have the talent and at age 19 going to 20, i feel that this question bothers me when it comes to the film business. I'm really positive that this is the only thing i can do. I don't get them frequently but maybe once a year (cold sores) and i usually get acne here and there. Any advice would be great..thanks

How could you possibly know that you have the talent needed to be a professional actor? Of course your complexion is important. Stay healthy. You need professional guidance. I give it for free. Read my profile and write me at my aol address.

Try proactive for the acne as for cold sores they come when your immune system goes down, stay healthy, it can ruin a shooting schedule.

Try lemon balm for the cold sores (first link).
Try a low carb diet for acne (second link).

No, it will not really affect your chances of becoming an actor.
As you said you only get it every once and a while, so it doesn't really matter, and remember you have to wear make-up on t.v anyway so you can easily cover it up.

Another thing is to take care of your skin, I know you may feel a bit..."girly" but it is essential if you wear all that make-up for theatre etc. My brother has really bad acne and he has been using some of my products I have recommend (tehehe) and they work pretty well. So I suggest Nivea Exfoliator, it's fantastic I use it everyday and it takes away all the dead skin cells and I also recommend Clean and Clear Scrub Away for Sensitive skin, it takes off all the excess dirt etc etc

So I hope this helped and good luck
