OH, you'll LOVE it!
In regards to attire, it always depends on the theatre and the time. If you're going to a matinee, not casual, but definitely not formal. If you're going to an evening performance, consider where your seats will be. If you're in the dress circle, dress on the edge of fancy, but be comfortable. If you're in the back of the theatre, dress well, but don't worry about being too fancy. You'll be well within the average crowd.

Personally, I love to dress up for an event like this, no matter where I sit. It's just part of the whole experience.

i would wear something very nice, it also depends on what kind of tickets you purchased, the higher the cost, the nicer you should dress, even tho its a newer play, its still opera

it depends where u are seeing it.. if your seeing it in la and a matinee dont even worry about it! at night dress nice but done stress to much...people dont really try that hard any more for the theatre

Whenever I go to a musical I see it as a special opportunity to enjoy a good show while dressed casually and comfortably.

Though I've never seen Wicked on stage, I understand that not every one dresses up when they go to see a big show so weather or not you decide to go in style it's completely up to you.

Have fun and enjoy.

dress up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! especially if you're going to the 8:00 show. do really try to look your best, but not trashy. you want to show the actors that you support them and respect them by dressing up.your husband can wear like a nice suit with the tie and all or a really nice polo shirt those jackets for suits(srry i dont knw wat their called.) with jeans and some reall nice shoes. you could wear like a really nice dress bring a shall or a really really really warm jacket cuz it gets freezing at night!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and some nice heels and jewlry and make up of course. or you can always dress up with some really nice pants (you knw those dressy one, srry again i don't knw wat its called.) a really nice very dressy top, hells and a really dressy jacket/ shawl. hope this helps!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! or if your going to an afternoon performance, you might want to dress down a little. but it also depends on where your sitting. if your sitting in like balconies of like the first few rows.

as the others have stated...dress nicely...i was in the third balcony...on a date...and we just dressed casually...plus it was the end of summer...in chicago...my whole thing is...especially...since you have spent so much money...i spent about half what you did...DO NOT GO TIRED...8P...is kind of late in the day...when you have been on the go...constantly...for at least 10 hours...when you sit in a dark theater...and you have to maintain...focus...it gets hard...i nodded off...toward the end...it's not super long...it was just a lull in the action...but i highly recommend this show...to everyone...ENJOY...BTW...are there any well known people...in your production...ours had...ana gasteyer...from SNL...she was fabulous as elphaba
