I need a good agent?

Question:live in north carolina and just moved here. i am willing to go to new york or la for an agent. but it would be nice to find one in north carolina (especially raleigh). i have had experience. but i need an actual legitimite agency. the only real agencies i have heard of are mollo management(i think) and cesd agency. does anyone know of any others, especially any in north carolina. (if i got an agent in la or ny i would move there) i moved from ny a year ago so i would be able to move back there because i still own my house there. and i have done acting work (drama classes, community plays) and i also did some commercial and modeling when i was younger.

Well, there are no SAG franchised agents in NC so you are definitely better off in LA or NY. You can start your search here: http://www.sag.org/node/667 I'm sure you know the drill then in regards to sending your headshot, resume and cover letter. Since more and more agents have websites I highly recommend looking them up before submitting to look for specific preferences in regards to submission guidelines.

i answerd this casting call online to be in the background for one of the show they do during commercials,like tbs dinner and a movie.They just let anyone in.After talking to some of the people there 70% said there agents got them in.I think agents are rip offs.

To be an agent you need wisdom on choices such as...
"My Bf Likes My Boyfriend. What do I tell Her?"
Its like yahoo ANSWERS right. But it is more personal like.....
"My dad is having love with my BF."
You need to have good advice.
An agent needs the time to follow the person around and accept any calls from him or her.
