Position:Home>Theater & Acting> The four elements in theatre?

Question:For my school's arts competition, the theme of the day is the four elements (earth, fire, water, air) and I need to choose and direct a drama and have no idea what to use. Does anyone know of any good plays that we could do or choose a scene from? Or of any stories I could turn into a play?

FIRE! the play Othello, lots of jealousy and other dramatic things in that play which can be a form of fire, read it or look at the cliff notes on it...best website for that is sparknotes.com

GOOD LUCK!

Perhaps do various Shakespeare scenes, one that reflects each of the elements, they are a big part of all of his work.

Check out the symbolism of these elements, pick a play that matches those and do a scene that mentions the elements or utilizes them in some way.
