Question:i know this is extremely vague. but could you give me a line where the audience realizes the play is a tragedy??

the first tragedy, i think, is the part where Romeo's friend gets stabbed in the stomach and people are laughing at him because they don't take him seriously. he seriously needs help and they think he's just kidding around.

the climax is when Romeo thinks that Juliet is really dead, so he drinks poison and dies. Juliet wakes up later to discover Romeo dead and commits suicide shortly after. we as the audience knew that Juliet was only faking her death, but Romeo thought it was real and the only reason she did it was to free herself from her parents and be with her Romeo far away from the city.

Its from the beginning - we are told we are seeing a tragedy from the very beginning.
