Question:Everyone thought he was gay?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Everyone thought he was gay?

No, an autopsy report is being carried out at the moment but the police didn't find any evidence suicide or any foul play they say that they may probably never find out what happened or if it was an accident or intentional.
The drugs were NOT illegal drugs, just perscription sleeping pills.
He was not gay and i don't think anyone thought or even accused him of being so, he was married and has a daughter.

God Rest his Soul x

No he was married for over a year to the girl who played his wife in that movie. He was also seen all over the place with model hot women once he was divorced. They are saying this was an accident and not suicide and he did not have a drug issue at all.

No way!!! How many actors out there that are staight play gay parts!!! Thats why they are called actors! He didn't want the divorce. ( from his wife ) (female) I don't believe he killed himself anyways. Won't ever believe it even if they try and say he did.

You don't even know that he killed himself at all yet.

Just wait until there's an actual cause of death disclosed.

Just because you play a role of a gay man does not make the actor gay!

The news reports are quoting police that It was an accidental overdose, not a suicide.

And the correct word is "himself," not "his self"...sorry, but if you're going to imply and make an outlandish statement like that -- that being thought of as gay is a reason for suicide --you need to check your grammar.

I find that VERY hard to believe...1st of all, he wasnt gay and 2nd, he seemed very comfortable knowing that some rediculed the movie by calling it the gay cowboy movie but even said that those who finally saw the movie never called it that again, and rephrased it as a love story. I think he knew taking the role would be very contraversial, and wanted to do it for exactly that reason. He wasnt the fluff actor who only took on roles that would bring a teeny-bopper story to life, or bring home a big paycheck, he purposely turned those down and went to indi-film route, selecting those films which he felt were challenging and thought-provocking. I saw an interview with him where he stated such and even joked that his mom begged him to take more films so he can eat, but he was very selective, and when he picked a role, he gave it his heart. It is a true tragedy. He was so talented and gorgeous, and lives behind a 2 year old daughter.

No, That was not why. I'm with Amy G, no one thinks he was gay just because of a role he played. He was married and has a little girl. The news this morning said he was on sleeping pills and sick with pnuemonia so it may have been accidental over medication. but the autopsy is not done yet, so lets not start rumors. The poor man is dead. And it's a sad thing.

That is the most asinine question ever. No, he didn't. He wasn't gay, he was just an actor who played the role of a gay man. Give me a break! Is Cate Blanchett really a man since she just played the role of Bob Dylan? No!

He was under a lot of stress, not sleeping, probably not eating very well and it looks as if it was an accidental overdose. Unfortunately it happens. He had everything to live for. He had a beautiful little girl, great career, heavily liked by directors, producers and fellow actors.

No one thought he was gay. Straight actors play gay all the time and gay actors play straight as well. People should really just wait for the official word to come from the coroner's office.
