Position:Home>Theater & Acting> Does anyone have a good idea for a radio show?

Question:In my drama class we have to do a dramatic radio show in groups of 3. The whole point is to exercise your voice. We must have at least 4 characters with different voices, and 12 sound effects. The story is supposed to be a comedy. This is going to be done behind a curtain, so there is no physical element. Does anyone have any ideas for a good storyline?

Something like the old days. Your setting could be the Wild West with a cowboy travelling to visit his grandma (or his lady love, or whatever) when he suddenly sees (make up a villain name like Dastardly Dan) robbing the bank or him and his gang attempting to rob the train. If you can have props, make foley sounds (horse hooves galloping, train whistle, worried passengers, etc.)

Take inspiration from old radio shows like Hopalong Cassidy, Little Orphan Annie, Amos & Andy, Cloak and Dagger or something like that. Check out this site - http://www.radiolovers.com/

good luck,
