Well first off, enrol in some acting classes..(it sounds so obvious I know..but some people really don't know to) They help you ALOT. I suggest doing them in school and out, even if your repeating a section of drama you learnt outside of school..there is always more to learn. I suggest taking some singing lessons..prefrably private as the teacher will be focused on you and can help you with singing through your diaphram etc etc I also suggest ont top of all that, to go and try and take some dance lessons....either Jazz as it is very Theatrical or Ballet as it is the foundation of dance. Some schools even offere "Musical Theatre Courses" where you sing, dance and act all in the one lesson..there usually once or twice a week for about 2 hours..so you sing for 45 mins act for 45 mins and dance the rest.

Try out for as many schools plays as you can and also community theatre..you finds community theatre does alot of musicals and they are also great experience. Even if you get a small role, you learn so much by listening to the other actors and the directions and advice the director is giving everyone.

Once you feel confident, get an agent..an agent will help you get auditions..get castings for commercials...tv shows..movies..theatre..voice overs etc. Research some legit agencies. Make sure you research everything! Even ways about how to travel to and from the agency when you need to meet, when your parents are unavailable to take you. (although i strongly suggest..or i insist that you make sure your parents take you to the first few meetings so you get a feel for the place, and they can sort out contracts etc and they know what type of people you will be seeing etc) Sit down with your parents and discuss how you want to pursue acting, and show them your research they will be proud of your research and see how responisble and serious you are about it.Auditioning for an agent usually consists of an interview, and performing one or two monologues.
Once you get an agent..(which may take a bit..but don't give up...just keep on trying) they will help you find auditions for things like commercials etc etc.

I hope this helped..
and good luck..

Chase that dream!

MLK did, and look what happened to him.

Start acting in your school or get into some drama clubs. From there, you will gain experience and will be able to go to auditions. Good luck.

you live in vic???what is that

star small with school plays and such and big things might come of it. u neva know :)

You need an agent first.

Get an agent. :) Actually, if you're just twelve and don't have any experience, try getting into some local school plays or something. Get some experience under your belt... _then_ get an agent (ask your mum first though, heh).

First of all, look for a talent agent in your area. OR move to a big area like New York or Los Angeles. Even the Baltimore area the film industry has grown there. After that go to classes, read books, just keep working on your talent. ALso, build up your resume. Or, if you haven't yet, MAKE a resume. Keep acting in local productions and keep doing whatever you can. It is an ambitous career *one I am working on as well* I strongly recomend reading the books by Tom Logan. I find those most helpful. The link to them is below

Go in a few local plays
Take acting classes
Read books on acting
Take acting as a school subject

Keep an eye open for opportunities and go for them with everything you've got!

If you want to start acting professionally now, you need very supportive parents.

Perhaps it would be a good idea to move to Melbourne.

Try to get a job in the industry outside of the acting if you have no audition opportunities, you will hopefully be noticed there...

Good Luck!
